This site is intended only for residents of the United States of America.
The information on this site does not apply to any person residing in any
other country of the world.
If you are not a resident of the U.S.A. but you are currently traveling
here (B1/B2 visa), you may wish to contact the nearest Schengen Embassy
or a Consulate General in order to obtain visa information. Some of the
information on this website may be applicable to you, though you must in
principle always apply for a Schengen visa in the country where you
reside. Your application may therefore be rejected on this basis.
There is no right to a Schengen visa, even when you present all
required documentation. The latter only assures that your application
can be accepted by the appropriate consular office, but not that a visa
will actually be granted. In all cases the consular officer may
request additional information or documentation as deemed necessary.
The consular staff of the Embassies and Consulates General of the
Schengen countries in the US guarantee a courteous, knowledgeable
and speedy handling of your application. They expect you to behave
equally courteously and to answer all relevant questions they might
ask related to your application and to the purpose of your stay.
